This is the first episode on the second disc! There is a lot to be seen in these 22ish minutes of television. Little nipples is back- and he is holding a grudge. Troy finds a girl that he can take on a date (as long it's within biking distance of his parents' house), and someone in the group might be a homeless bum.
Season 1, Episode 8
"Home Economics"
Jeff gets kicked out of his condo and is living in his car. Abed lets him stay in his dorm room. Annie shows Troy how to impress his date, while being in love with Troy. Pierce joins Vaughn's band, "Some Worries" which makes fun of Britta.
Best Lines
Troy: Annie, say there are two friends and they're in the same class, and one of them wants to ask the other one out on a date. Like a grownup date, but within walking distance of his parents' house.
Troy: I can't believe I misled you like that. Listen, Randi can be the name of a guy or a girl.
Jeff: There's a silver lining here, isn't there? You're attracted to bums.
Britta: What am I supposed to do about that?
Abed: Use your lady parts...Tell him you'll make love to him if he takes a shower and finds a nice place to live.
Pierce: I get it. Your jealous of me.
Vaughn: What? Why?
Pierce: Maybe because when I put on these skinny jeans my (butt) looks like a skinny pumpkin.
Vaughn (singing) Pierce your a "B".
Pierce: I'm Pierce.
Vaughn (signing): Saying goodbye to Britta was the hardest thing to do...
Pierce: Oh, yeah the guy with the tiny nipples you did it with.
Abed: Sometimes I pour hot cocoa mix into cold milk and drink it like a cold hot chocolate. I call it special drink.
Jeff: And someday you will know it by its true name, diabetes.
Jeff: No, your incredulity perplexes me, nerd.
Random Thingamajigs
The nurse calls himself "Hawkeye", possibly a foreshadowing to Jeff being a "Hawkeye" character in just a few episodes.
Abed races Jeff for top bunk. Priceless.
Jeff eating ice cream. "Has this always been here?"
Jeff on the couch. Yikes.
Shirley wants "a piece of that".
Jeff still works out and brushes his teeth as a bum. Good to have priorities, I guess.
"Cool. Cool, cool, cool" makes it's first appearance- and it's said by Abed, and then later again by Jeff.
Pierce kinda rocks on the keyboard. Just sayin'.
That is so many condoms! Hopefully they aren't the same one's that Dean Pelton gives out to students in the STD episode.
Annie's a little exposed at the "end"...
Final Grade
84% Lots of jokes all episode, and most of them are performed perfectly. The ending is touching and sweet, when Abed and Jeff hug. Pierce finally sticks up for Britta, and is rewarded by having his very own song to brag about. Annie takes a small step in the right direction by taking her Nana's blanket back, and not letting herself be taken advantage of so much. All the character's had a good role, and this episode had such a good flow to it. My only complaint is that Dean Pelton was not in this episode at all.

71 Reviews of the Best Show on TV- Community: "Intro to Statistics"
Happy Halloween! Halloween episodes on Community are extra special. Beastmaster, Batman, Robin Hood, Ceasar, Cowboys, Squirrels, and Steve Urkel (Harry Potter) make an appearance. So throw on your best TMNT costume, grab your bucket, and come get some Community Candy.
Season 1, Episode 7
"Intro to Statistics"
Annie throws a Halloween party for extra credit in Spanish class. Jeff wants to date his hot Statistics Professor, Professor Slater, who doesn't date students. Pierce trades pills with Starburns and starts tripping balls. Shirley is determined to hurt Professor Slater to defend Britta's honor. Abed plays Batman, who just might save the day.
Best Lines
Jeff: Are you trying to get formidable with me?
Annie: It worked on Pierce.
Jeff: Infomercials work on, Pierce.
Jeff (while Annie is crying): This won't work. The last time you did this, I saved a vial of your tears, and have slowly been building up an immunity.
Annie: I was so unpopular in high school, the crossing guard used to lure me into traffic.
Troy: Can I ask you something I always wanted to ask the real Batman.
Abed (dressed as Batman): Ya.
Troy: Am I good-looking?
Abed: You are a very attractive young man.
Troy: I knew it.
Troy: That's one of my biggest fears.
Abed: What is?
Troy: If I ever, like, woke up as a doughnut.
Abed:You would eat yourself.
Troy: I wouldn't even question it.
Britta: Whoa. Yippee ki-yay. Thought you weren't a costume guy.
Jeff: You had to have one to get in here, squirrel.
Britta: Oh. So where did you get it? Because I wouldn't think that any costume stores would be open this late.
Jeff: I don't know what you're getting at.
Britta: The words you are looking for are, "I own a cowboy outfit." And it is tight too. Did you buy it like that? Your toy gun to my head, I'd say yes.
Professor Slater: I have to admit, this outfit is doing it for me. I may or may not have been deflowered by a junior rodeo champion.
Shirley: That's right Professor Slim Calves. This is what you get when you steal Jeff from a good woman.
Shirley: To teach that long neck, weave having bank teller she can't steal another woman's man, that's why.
Jeff: Pierce, I don't know how you spent the first 60 years, but I know in the last two months, you;'ve probably doubled the national average for amount of life lived per lifetime.
Random Thingamajigs
Pierce calls his mom on accident. She tells him that his father's ghost won't leave her alone. Pierce's father is not dead, as shown in Season 2.
Abed is a perfect Batman.
Starburns can't pee.
Troy's outtakes on the DVD are amazing on this episode. He asks Batman a whole bunch of questions and also makes some hilarious jokes when telling Jeff that Pierce is tripping.
Final Grade
87% A great episode. It's always cool to see the characters dressed up in costumes, but yet, the greatest part of this episode is the humanity it shows. Shirley come to terms that her husband cheated on her (after taking an antennae of Slater's car), and finds peace. Pierce tries to be young but discovers he doesn't need to act that way to fit in. Abed steals the show, as Batman. His long line about being Batman near the end was executed perfectly. Best one so far.

71 Reviews of the Best Show on TV- Community: "Football, Feminism and You"
Stop!
Hey there! Human Beings play sports too! Literally, the Greendale mascot is the Human Being. . Strap on your protective gear and dive in folks. Were playing football today.
Season 1, Episode 6
"Football, Feminism and You"
Dean Pelton blackmails Jeff with pictures of him on Greendale flyers, in exchange fo getting Troy to play football for the team. Annie tries to teach Troy astronomy. Britta struggles with being a good girlfriend to Shirley. Pierce and Dean Pelton create the Greendale mascot.
Best Lines
Pierce: As far as I'm concerned, there's only one black hole worth studying. (Camera pans to Shirley) It's called Sagittarius A. It's located in the center of our galaxy and it has the density of 40 suns. (wait for it) Just like my wiener.
On the Greendale flyer: I'm Jeff. I used to be a lawyer. Now I'm a student at Greendale Community College.
Dean Pelton: I'm starting to see why someone used to be a lawyer. Haha. Up top!
Jeff: I'm saying your a football player. It's in your blood.
Troy: That's racist.
Jeff: Your soul.
Troy: That's racist
Jeff: Your eyes?
Troy: That's gay.
Jeff: That's homophobic.
Troy: That's black.
Jeff: That's racist.
Troy: Is that linebacker a pregnant woman?
Troy: When you showed me that field, I saw there was nothing to worry about here. I could just play football for the fun of it. I mean have you seen these guys? There is nowhere to go but up.
Random Football player (let's call him Kevin): Dude, we have feelings.
Random Thingamajigs
This episode is most definitely out of order. Pierce met the dean the episode before, and now he doesn't know who he is?
The DVD extras shows this episode with a twist. Instead of Britta getting over her feminist problems, she finally learns to use the restroom. Lot of dubbed farts.
Abed lays low this episode. Bad idea.
Dean Pelton's character is way off in this episode. Hated it.
We never see Troy actually play football.
Troy's fight songs are hilarious. Making fun og John Kerry, Al Gore, and Nancy Pelosi.
Troy tells Jeff to take a pottery class to lighten up. He does in a later episode.
Also obvious that it's out of order whem you see Pierce's glasses are the same as in the pilot, but different from the episode before it.
I didn't particularly find the Troy and Abed ending all that funny. A little offensive actually. Also I hope that this is the last time Troy calls himself the disco spider.
Final Grade
66% Definitely an episode aired out of order. So many inconsistencies. Even if you take that away though, the story is not the great. There a few good lines, especially Pierce's first line, and the back and forth between Troy and Jeff on the football field. The whole Britta/Shirley story was lame. Troy stole the show except when he was an unlikable jerk in the cafeteria. This episode was barely saved at the end when Troy opens up and confesses to hurting himself on purpuse because he was scared. Despite that, this is the worst episode so far, and quite possibly my least favorite of all 71. I take comfort in that fact that it was still funny at points, and yet this is the worst one. Troy's right: We can only go up from here.

Do not read this if you hate joy and laughter! That is all that follows! You have been warned!
Season 1, Episode 5
"Advanced Criminal Law"
Britta cheats on a Spanish test and Jeff offers her his lawyer skills. Abed pretends to be an alien to mess with Troy. Annie decides to hire Pierce to write the new school song for the unveiling of the "Luis Guzman" statue.
Best Lines
Chang: Starburns, that means you.
Starburns: My name's Alex, dude.
Chang: Well, maybe you should spend five hours sculpting that into your face.
Troy: The only difference between Senor Chang and Stalin is that I actually know who Senor Chang is.
Britta: It's not that easy to get human beings to turn on each other.
Chang: Turn on her! (everyone throws paper and pens at her)
Jeff: Yeah, well, when we first met you, like you were up here and I was here and now...(moves hands to an even height). Oh, wait, I have a quarter to a dirty bum today.
Dean Pelton: Well it sounds like there are to biases, one on each side and I go both ways. Oh, let's strike that. LaShonda can we please strike that?
Chang: Oh, shut your pompus vortex of overlapping fangs.
Duncan: Hey, British dentistry is not on trial.
Duncan: I'm sorry, do you mind if we have this conversation in room with less balls.
Annie: You listen up, Pierce. I'm gonna tell you what my mother told me when I wanted to quit cheerleading. "You're not very pretty, you have no boobs, and you can't do a basket toss to save your life, but you made a commitment." So pick up your pom-poms, Pierce. Stuff your bra, and get ready for the team bus to forget you at a Taco Bell because life is tough.
Random Thingamajigs
Palm trees visible at the beginning of the episode. They are in Colorado!!!
Pierce "playing Annie out" was great.
Abed plays a perfect alien. I was really hoping that he was an alien!
We get our first ogle at Leonard (and see a little too much).
Gary (called Garret in this episode), looks ridiculous as an alien.
Pierce references air conditioner repair in his song. This will become a major plot for Troy in season 3.
The game that Troy and Abed play at the end is epic. I tried to count the pencils and thought it was in the 40's but ended up only being 36.
Shirley is not in this episode after Britta announces she cheated about 6 minutes into the show.
Where the heck is this pool in future episodes? There is so much potential for a swimming episode or something.
Final Grade
80% A few steps in the wrong direction here. It is hard to find the character's motives in the beginning of the show. Despite Shirley hardly being in this episode at all, we still learn a few new things about these characters. Annie, has the best line of the show, and quite possibly one of the best lines of the whole series, when she talks about being left at Taco Bell. Enjoyable episode, but awkward at points.

71 Reviews of the Best Show on TV- Community: "Social Psychology"
Hey. What's up. Hi.
Welcome back for more Community! We are now 4 episodes into the first season. Time to meet a new character: Vaughn. This "little-nippled" hacky sack lover will greet you...three times. So let's review another episode, brah.
Season 1, Episode 4
"Social Psychology"
Britta gets a new boyfriend that has a knack for hacky sack and taking off his shirt. Shirley and Jeff bond over making fun of people, especially Vaughn's nipples and poetry. Annie helps Professor Duncan in an experiment called the "Duncan Principle", and invites Troy and Abed to participate. Pierce tries to listen to it all on his "ear-noculars".
Best Lines
Britta: That's mean
Jeff: (immitating Shirley) No, that's not nice.
Jeff: And if I'm occasionally naked in your dreams, I won't complain.
Britta: Besides, aren't you supposed to have like an Olympic gold medal in jibber jabber?
Vaughn: No worries.
Jeff: (to Britta): Interesting, because I might be worried if I was playing hacky sack a decade too late.
Annie: But I'm only here because of a brief addiction to pills that I was told would help me focus, but they actually made me lose my scholarship and virginity.
Vaughn: I asked politely and the panda took his pants off.
Britta: Ha. I never even knew that's what asexual meant.
Troy: Do they do stuff to your butt?
Annie: No.
Troy: Do you get paid more if they do stuff to your butt.
Duncan: That one's a stomper. Bye, hippie.
Abed: Well I didn't realize we were really good friends. I figured we were really more like Chandler and Phoebe. They never really had stories together. (Pauses) Sure, I'll do it Chandler.
Shirley: (making fun of Vaughn) He'd play shirts versus skins in a game of checkers.
Duncan: Fine. Go kill John Lennon again, you loser.
Annie: (to Duncan) That's hilarious. Did you think of that the last time you skipped a trip to the dentist?
Britta: It's getting a little relationship-y. And he gave me something...
Jeff: Herpes?
Jeff: That is the stain of a tear drop over the word, "rad".
Abed: Oh, wow, I love reading and being a desperate housewife.
Random Thingamajigs
What did Chang write on the chalkboard?!?! Theories???
We get our first glimpse of Gary (the typical nerd) in this episode. He may have one of the best small roles of any minor Community character in episode 23 of this season (paintball episode).
Vaughn falls on his face....no worries, brah!
Troy's breaking point is amazing. Soul train awards. Ha.
Final Grade
82% Funny episode, full of a plethora of one liners. The characters are still developing, but I like the direction they are going. Shirley making fun of Vaughn's nipples is the highlight. Where are they!?!? The Troy and Abed ending is great. Shirley and Vaughn share the episodes MVP award.

Ranking them 1-71

71 Reviews of the Best Show on TV- Community: "Intro to Film"
Day 3 of Community! As an accounting major, I love this episode. Professor Whitman is an Accounting Professor that teaches...well, not accounting.
Season 1, Episode 3
"Intro to Film"
Jeff finds the ultimate "blow off" class. No tests. No papers. Just seizing the day. Carpe diem.
Professor Whitman, "an accounting professor", pegs Jeff as the opportunist trying to coast by and get an "A". Jeff goes to ridiculous lengths to impress Whitman. Britta pays for Abed's film class, where he make a documentary for his dad. Pierce helps Troy sneeze with authority.
Best Lines
Professor Whitman: I shall have....A BIRTHDAY CAKE!
Professor Whitman: This day could be your last. You could die in your sleep. You could get hit by a bus. You, that mole is raised and dark, it's not a good combo.
Troy: Then he should see Aladdin, Jafar was a badass.
Jeff: Hey, Troy sneezes like a girl.
Troy: And how 'bout I pound you like a boy? That didn't come out right.
Professor Whitman: Why are you here!?
Shirley: Because I wasted 15 years of my life on a man who left me with nothing but stretch marks and a foggy memory of two bland orgasms and not it's time to get what's mine.
Jeff: This is no way to teach accounting!
Abed: Our first assignment is a documentary. They're like real movies, but with ugly people.
Abed:Well Bitta, it isn't called friend business, it's called show business.
Britta: He's smoking.
Jeff: Honey, let him leave the nest.
Random Thingamajigs
Britta asks Jeff if he is an 80's rapist while he is wearing a ridiculous outfit.
The kite scene is funny...but one minute it is up in the air the next it isn't flying higher than Jeff's face, and then all the sudden it is back in the air. Oh and at the end of the episode, his kite is totally being flown by someone else.
The sweater Jeff is wearing near the end of the episode is a disgrace.
Troy finally sneezes like a man.
This is the fist time I had seen or heard of krumping.
Final Grade
84%. It's getting better. Probably the first tear jerking Community moment when Abed shows his dad the film. Professor Whitman steals the show. Britta and Jeff kiss...sort of. Professor Whitman climbing a tree. Yup, this is a community college.

71 Reviews of the Best Show on TV- Community: "Spanish 101"
Welcome back children! WileyDan here, and I hope you are ready for more laughs.Time to meet quite possibly the scariest person I can imagine: Chang. A Chinese Spanish teacher? This I gotta see.
Season 1, Episode 2
"Spanish 101"
Jeff continues to try and impress Britta, but ends up being partnered up with Pierce instead. The presentation they give at the end is priceless, and most definitely offensive at times (Annie tied up as Sacagawea is killer). Annie and Shirley have a silent protests that ends with Pierce being lit on fire.
Top 5 Best Lines
Jeff: Well, not specifically, but if you think of grandsons as metaphors for friendship, I think you'll agree with this Transformer here that it's time for ours to become a man- by reading from the Torah.
Senor Chang: I am a Spanish genius! In espanol my nickname is El Tigre Chino (proceeds to fake bite Shirleys neck), because my knowledge will bite her face off!
Pierce: I'm not sterile. In fact it's a rare condition called hyper-virility. Apparently my sperm shoot through the egg like bullets. Heh, caan you believe that?
Jeff: I can't. But you can so that's fine.
Abed: Conflicts like these will ultimately bring us together as an unlikely family.
Troy: You have horrible breath right now.
Troy: That dude is crazy. He told me girls have two peeholes.
Miscellaneous Thingamajigs
The Community open is first seen here! "The 88" perform their catchy tune "At Least It Was Here", while the credits roll.
Star-Burns is first shown...I mean Alex.
Jeff in Abed's shirt is hilarious. Some how he pulls another grey shirt out of his wardrobe later in the episode.
Jeff opens the Spanish Study Room door and it swings in to the room. In almost all the other episodes the door swings out into the hallway (double check me on this).
First Troy and Abed moment at the end of an episode. Arguably one of the best. The Spanish rap is so nonsensical and yet they pull it off like a breeze. I guess everything sounds better in Spanish!
Final Grade
79% A step up from the pilot. It introduced a few minor characters such as Chang, and Star-Burns. The ending was worth the wait and the rap at the end is priceless. Make me yearn for more Troy and Abed moments.
Ranking them 1-71

71 Reviews of the Best Show on TV- Community: "The Pilot"
WileyDan here!
I am embarking on an amazing Journey: 71 Days of Community! I have seen all the episodes of this hilarious show (some of them multiple times), and have decided to rewatch one a day, now that the dreaded summer hiatus is upon us. Feel free to follow along with me and rewatch the shows each day. I am excited to watch all these shows again and laugh my face off along the way. Drop a comment and let me know whatcha think of my review. Also, after watching all the episodes, I will release my rankings of the episodes from 71-to totally ridiculously awesome.
So without further ado...
Season 1, Episode 1
"Pilot"
After seeing all the shows, this one seems weird. The first time I saw it I was in awe of the hilariousness of the show. I finished watching it and afterward, I had to watch the next one. Jeff, a lawyer who just lost his license, is forced to go to college again. He pretends to be a tutor to pick up a "hot blonde", Britta, and ends up creating a real Spanish group, forming a bond between seven unlikely characters.
Top 5 Best Lines
Dean Pelton: That's what you've heard, however----I wish you luck!
Duncan: I thought you had a Bachelor's from Columbia.
Jeff: And now I have to get one from America...and it can't be an e-mail attachment.
Jeff: A six year old girl could talk to you that way!
Duncan: Yes, because that would be adorable.
Jeff: No, because you're a five year old girl, and there's a pecking order.
Troy: That means you do my homework, right, Seacrest?
Troy and Pierce giggling: Aspergers.
Miscellaneous Thingamajigs
Jeff is wearing Adidas sweatpants. Not really a Jeff look in future episodes.
The Community open isn't here yet, but I didn't mind.
Abed was like on crack this episode, but still unbelievably funny, and the episode's MVP.
This was a good episode, though it is always hard to judge a pilot. I am glad they went in a different direction than they could have (and also made Abed less "Pilot Abed")
Final Grade
76% A good, but not great opening to this funny serious. Admittedly the first time I saw this show I would have rated it higher, on pure ignorance on how great the rest of the series would truly be.
Ranking them 1-71
1. "Pilot"
Homework
Learn a Spanish word so you can hit on the hot blonde.
That's all, I'm outie.
